ICAC: Cotton Conference in Tashkent to focus on innovation

Uzbekistan is set to host the 82nd Plenary Meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) from September 30th to October 3rd, 2024. The theme, "Global Partnerships to Promote Innovation in the Cotton and Textile Value Chains," reflects the industry's focus on progress and sustainability.

This four-day event brings together experts across the cotton and textile supply chain. Sessions will explore advancements in cotton breeding to combat climate change, the impact of environmental regulations on trade, and the use of digital tools for supply chain transparency.

A unique "World Cafe" session will break the mold, prioritizing attendee participation to discuss building a resilient and inclusive global cotton industry.

Following the conference, an optional technical tour (October 4-6) offers participants a chance to delve deeper into Uzbekistan's cotton and textile sectors firsthand.
