India’s daily cotton arrivals for December 11, 2024, total 217,700 bales: CAI

The Cotton Association of India (CAI) has reported that daily cotton arrivals across India for December 11was 217,700 bales, equivalent to 37,009 metric tons. Telangana led the arrivals with 70,200 bales (11,934 metric tons), followed by Maharashtra with 44,900 bales (7,633 metric tons) and Gujarat with 30,000 bales (5,100 metric tons).

Cumulatively, cotton arrivals for the 2024-25 season have reached 74.49 lakh bales (12.66 million metric tons). Key contributors to the cumulative figures include: Telangana (17.36 lakh bales), Maharashtra (12.65 lakh bales), and Gujarat (13.90 lakh bales). North India, including Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan, added 8.12 lakh bales.

These figures reflect a steady flow of cotton into markets, helping gauge the supply landscape for the current season. The data also offers insights for stakeholders in cotton production, trade, and textile industries.
