India's textiles sector optimistic about steady growth under new government: NITMA
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarks on his third term, the Northern India Textile Mills’ Association (NITMA) remains steadfast in its commitment to bolstering India's position as a global textile and apparel hub. NITMA President Sanjay Garg expressed optimism that under PM Modi's leadership, India will continue to achieve significant milestones and secure a prosperous future.
Garg highlighted the importance of a strong partnership with the government to address industry challenges such as ensuring raw material availability, enhancing infrastructure, and improving skill development. By working together, the goal is to achieve sustainable growth and contribute to the nation's economic success.
In a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Modi, Garg praised his visionary leadership and dedication to national development. He emphasized NITMA's commitment to collaborating with the government to foster innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness in the textile sector.
Garg commended several government initiatives, including RoDTEP, RoSCTL, the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, and the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) parks. These initiatives, along with strategic trade agreements, have created top-tier infrastructure, attracted investment, and generated employment, significantly supporting MSMEs and the textile industry as a whole.
