Indorama Ventures drives circular fashion with T-Rex project

Indorama Ventures, a global leader in sustainable chemicals, has joined the T-Rex (Textile Recycling Excellence) Project. This initiative seeks to establish a unified EU system for the closed-loop sorting and recycling of household textile waste, propelling the fashion industry towards a more circular and sustainable future.
As the designated spinning partner, Indorama Ventures will process chemically recycled feedstock into polyester yarns and fibers through extrusion, ensuring impurity elimination. This aligns with the company’s goals of advancing the circular economy and supporting circular fashion through PET recycling and the supply of recycled materials.
Diego Boeri, Executive President, Indorama Ventures Fibers business, highlighted the company's decades of expertise in manmade fibers, particularly polyester, and its commitment to sustainable solutions and circular feedstock. He expressed confidence in contributing to the success of the T-Rex Project.
The EU-funded T-Rex Project aims to establish a harmonized blueprint for post-consumer textile waste recycling in Europe. It unites 13 key stakeholders across the value chain and research institutes to transform end-of-use textiles into valuable feedstock, fostering scalable new business models.
