ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024 unveils cutting-edge textile tech in Shanghai

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024, Asia’s top textile machinery business platform, is on in Shanghai from October 14 to 18. The event spans 160,000 sq. mt. across six halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre. Around 1,700 leading textile machinery manufacturers from 22 countries are showcasing innovative solutions aimed at advancing Asia's textile industry toward sustainable and high-end manufacturing.

Key exhibits include automation, digital technologies, and eco-friendly solutions. Dyeing and finishing technologies dominate the show, covering 22 per cent of the exhibition space, followed by spinning and man-made fibre production (19 per cent). Other highlights include knitting, weaving, and printing technologies.

Organized by CEMATEX and its Chinese partners, the exhibition has grown 9 per cent in size since 2022. The show’s focus on sustainability and intelligent technologies aligns with China’s ‘new quality productivity’ drive.

Major exhibitors include companies from mainland China, Germany, Japan, and Italy. An onsite IP office has been set up to resolve intellectual property issues. ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024 concludes on 18 October.
