Milano Unica showcases Fulgar’s sustainable yarn innovations

Milano Unica, the premier trade show for high-end fabrics and accessories, is reinforcing its sustainability mission with innovations from Fulgar, a global leader in man-made fibres. Fulgar has been pioneering eco-friendly yarns for over a decade, offering advanced solutions like Q-NOVA (regenerated yarn), Amni Soul Eco (accelerated decomposition fibre), and Q-CYCLE (a polyamide made from post-consumer waste such as discarded tires, cutting carbon dioxide emissions by up to 50 per cent).
At the event’s 40th edition, Fulgar’s latest breakthrough, Q-GEO, took center stage in Gruppo Dondi’s new collection. This bio-based polyamide delivers 50 per cent greater breathability than conventional options, exceptional durability, and long-lasting color retention. Notably, 46 per cent of Q-GEO is sourced from industrial corn unsuitable for food use, marking a significant step toward greener textiles.
Daniela Antunes, Fulgar’s Marketing Manager, emphasized the increasing demand for sustainable materials in the industry. She highlighted Milano Unica as a crucial platform for showcasing Fulgar’s commitment to responsible innovation and reaffirmed the company's dedication to developing cutting-edge, traceable solutions that drive positive change.
With sustainability at the forefront, Milano Unica underscores the fashion industry’s shift towards eco-conscious materials, positioning Fulgar as a leading force in sustainable textile development.
