Nativa: Sustainable cashmere goes blockchain
Nativa, a luxury natural fiber supplier has launched Nativa Cashmere, the world's first blockchain-tracked sustainable cashmere sourced directly from Mongolian farms. Ethically raised by nomadic tribes, Nativa Cashmere allows brands to trace the fiber's journey from farm to garment using a special platform. Nativa also works with farmers to improve animal welfare and social responsibility.
Maria Estrada, Nativa's Global Director, said they are excited to offer this sustainable cashmere with complete transparency. Nativa Cashmere is certified by the Sustainable Fiber Alliance and adheres to strict animal welfare and land management practices.
Nativa collaborates with Mongolian herders to develop programs that improve their livelihoods while preserving their traditions. Consumers can scan a QR code to learn about their garment's journey.
The initial batch comes from 40 certified herders and respects traditional practices. Nativa's brand partners include Stella McCartney and Gucci. Owned by the Chargeurs Group, Nativa offers traceable wool, cotton, and cashmere using blockchain technology.
