NCTO: Katherine White appointed as USTR's Textile Negotiator.

Kim Glas, President and CEO of the National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO), expressed enthusiasm for Katherine White's appointment as Chief Textiles and Apparel Negotiator for the US Trade Representative’s Office (USTR).  Glas commended White's extensive experience in manufacturing policy and textile-related trade issues, citing her previous roles in the House Ways and Means Committee, U.S. Department of Commerce, and the White House.

White's elevated to a political appointee role by US Trade Representative Ambassador Katherine Tai, signifies a strategic move to prioritize the textile industry's concerns.

The NCTO looks forward to collaborating with White on policies that support domestic textile manufacturing and its workforce.

The organization thanked Ambassador Tai for redesignating the position and recognized Laurie-Ann Agama's service during the transition.
