Numero Uno Goes Green: Sustainable denim hits the market

Popular Indian clothing brand Numero Uno has launched a new line of eco-friendly jeans. This collection ensures your denim style stays on point, while minimizing environmental impact.

These sustainable denims use eco-friendly materials and processes that significantly reduce water, energy, and chemicals. This lowers the overall carbon footprint of the jeans' production.

Numero Uno's Chief Product Officer, Manjula Gandhi, explains that the line utilizes organic cotton. This cotton requires less water and avoids harmful pesticides, making the jeans better for the environment and the workers who produce them.

Besides being sustainable, these denims are built to last and designed for comfort. Numero Uno takes water conservation seriously throughout production. From dyeing fabric to finishing touches, every step is optimized for water efficiency. Their plant even uses technology that recycles and reuses nearly 98.5 per cent of wastewater.

Numero Uno also utilizes conveyorized drying, lasers, and eco-friendly chemicals to further reduce water, energy, and chemical use by 55-60 per cent. The brand has ambitious plans to increase these efforts, aiming for 85-90 per cent sustainability within the next few years.

This launch celebrates the "Blue to Green" movement in denim. Numero Uno is excited to keep leading the fashion industry in offering high-quality clothing while staying eco-conscious.
