PM Mitra Textile Park in Malwa gains momentum ahead of GIS 2025

After the success of Apparel Park in Pithampur, the PM Mitra Textile Park in Malwa is generating strong interest among industrialists. The park, set to be a key highlight at the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 in Bhopal, aligns with Prime Minister’s 5F vision - Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign.
Developed under a special purpose vehicle (SPV) model, the park is among seven greenfield textile hubs across India, receiving Rs 500 crore in central support. The Madhya Pradesh government plans to showcase the project at GIS 2025, organizing a dedicated textile expo to attract investors. The park, approved in March 2023, is coming up in Bhensola village, Dhar district, about 50 km from Indore.
Madhya Pradesh, a leader in cotton production, contributes 24 per cent of the world’s non-GMO organic cotton and is India’s sole producer of extra-long staple (ELS) cotton. The Rs 500 crore project aims to generate 25,000 jobs across 21 units. The Centre has allocated Rs 4,445 crore for Mitra Parks until 2027-28, with 49 per cent equity funded by the Government of India and 51 per cent by the State Government. Expansion plans are also under discussion.
