RadiciGroup unveils first digital trackable nylon fabric
RadiciGroup, an Italian leader in textiles, has launched a new project for tracking nylon fibers, at Techtextil in Franfurt. They unveiled a gilet showcasing this technology, where a QR code allows consumers to see the yarn's origin and its production journey. Partnering FibreTrace, RadiciGroup embeds a special tracer into the nylon that can be detected throughout the process. This doesn't affect the yarn's quality. Consumers can scan the QR code to access a platform with details about the product's journey. RadiciGroup plans to expand this system to other fibers.
This initiative improves customer awareness about clothing origins, helps fight counterfeits, and promotes European-made products, aligning with the EU's Digital Product Passport plans.
