Textile-to-textile regeneration company Paris-based Rejuhas formed a strategic partnership with Cibutex, a Netherlands-based cooperative focused on sustainable textile supply chains. This collaboration aims to create a circular ecosystem by enabling the recycling of postconsumer textile scrap into Reju Polyester, using Reju’s advanced textile-to-textile recycling technology.

The partnership will allow Cibutex’s member companies to supply secondary raw materials to Reju’s Regeneration Hub Zero in Frankfurt, which is set to begin operations this year. Reju’s technology is expected to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of polyester production by 50 per cent, while enabling infinite regeneration cycles. The initiative is part of Reju's global strategy to establish large-scale textile regeneration, beginning with polyester.

Cibutex, a cooperative founded in 2022, works with textile service companies to collect and recycle postuse business textiles. By integrating Reju’s technology, the partnership will enhance traceability, scalability, and sustainability in the textile service sector, closing the loop on textile production.

Cibutex CEO Jan Lamme emphasized that the partnership strengthens efforts to return textiles to the production cycle, contributing to a more sustainable textile industry.
