Sanathan Textiles expands with Rs 726 crore polyester yarn facility in Punjab

Sanathan Textiles, through its subsidiary Sanathan Polycot Private Limited, has acquired 80 acres in Wazirabad, Punjab, to establish a greenfield polyester yarn manufacturing facility. With an investment of Rs 726 crore, the plant is in the advanced stage of commissioning and will significantly expand the company’s capacity from 550 tonnes per day to 1,500 tonnes per day.
Strategically located in the Industrial Park, Fatehgarh Sahib, the facility is close to key domestic markets like New Delhi, Ludhiana, and Panipat, which contribute 30 percent of the company’s revenue. The project, which began construction in August 2023, is being executed in phases. The first phase is expected to be operational in Fiscal 2025, with full completion by Fiscal 2027.
Sanathan Textiles plans to integrate fabric weaving and knitting units within the facility and establish an in-house production unit for high intrinsic viscosity raw materials used in technical textiles.
The company, known for its wide range of value-added yarns, supplies to major brands like Welspun, Siyaram, D’Decor, and Wildcraft. This expansion aligns with India's growing demand for man-made fibers and technical textiles.
