Shiva Texyarn, a prominent textile manufacturer in India, has received a supply order worth $4.22 million (Rs 36.19 crore) from the Indian Air Force under the Ministry of Defence. The order, part of a contract with the Department of Military Affairs, entails delivering 16,000 pairs of Suit Permeable MK V between January 3 and August 31, 2025.

Known for its technical textile expertise, Shiva Texyarn manufactures coated and laminated fabrics, home textiles, and cotton yarn. The company operates divisions for spinning, lamination, and garments in Tirupur, processing in Erode, and coating in Coimbatore. It also holds certifications like Five S, Oeko-Tex 100, WRAP, and an affiliation with the Textile Sector Skill Council.

In Q2 FY25, Shiva Texyarn reported a consolidated net profit of $322,000 (Rs 2.77 crore), a significant turnaround from the $301,000 (Rs 2.59 crore) net loss in Q2 FY24. Despite this improvement, net sales declined by 3.6 per cent year-over-year to $11.09 million (Rs 95.19 crore).

This new order underscores Shiva Texyarn's growing role in India's defence manufacturing ecosystem while highlighting its recovery trajectory in financial performance.
