SIMA hosts 14th Texfair in Coimbatore

The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) is organizing the 14th Texfair, a textile machinery exhibition, from June 21 to 24 in Coimbatore. This event aims to connect textile mills with machinery suppliers and promote modernization within the industry.
Around 240 exhibitors, including international participants, will showcase textile machinery, parts, accessories, and new technologies. This is expected to generate Rs 1,500 crore in business for the exhibitors.
Texfair aims to connect textile mills with suppliers. Mills are constantly looking for ways to cut costs and improve efficiency, and Texfair provides a platform to find new partners.
Almost 40 per cent of the participants are from Tamil Nadu, and 30 per cent to 40 per cent are small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). This event will also benefit smaller textile companies seeking to reduce operational costs.
Organizers are confident of a textile industry revival despite a recent downcycle. They emphasize the importance of efficiency, cost reduction, value addition, new product development, and branding for Coimbatore's textile and clothing sector.
