Spinnova partners Rejlers to scale up sustainable fiber production.

Good news for sustainable fashion. Spinnova, a company specializing in eco-friendly textile materials, has teamed up with Rejlers Finland, a technical design expert, to design the blueprints for their future fiber production plants. This collaboration aims to streamline and accelerate the scaling up of Spinnova's unique technology, which turns wood and even waste streams like leather scraps into textiles without harmful chemicals.

This "process design package" acts like a recipe book for building future Spinnova factories. It's flexible, adapting to different locations and even using various raw materials besides wood. This means Spinnova can set up shop almost anywhere and use what's readily available, reducing their environmental footprint.

The partnership makes perfect sense. Spinnova is a sustainability champion, and Rejlers is a leader in the circular economy, where waste becomes a resource. They share the vision of a greener textile industry, and this project brings them closer to that goal.

Spinnova already has one factory up and running, and the learnings from there are feeding into the design package. This ensures future plants are even more efficient and eco-friendly. Plus, the package isn't tied to one location, so Spinnova can expand globally, making their sustainable fibers more accessible worldwide.

This collaboration is expected to be completed by mid-2024, paving the way for the construction of new, innovative fiber production facilities. This means more eco-friendly clothing, accessories, and other textile products on the horizon, thanks to Spinnova and Rejlers' forward-thinking partnership.
