Sustainable Textiles: Fulgar, CHT partner for eco-dyeing.
Specialty chemical company CHT and fiber manufacturer Fulgar are joining forces again to introduce eco-friendly solutions for the textile industry. At the Performance Days trade show, they'll showcase CHT's BeSo Responsible project - a suite of customizable options for efficient resource use in dyeing. One highlight is the BeSo Responsible Shortcut process, designed specifically for Fulgar's Q-Cycle yarn. This innovative technique combines dyeing and finishing steps, significantly reducing time, water, and energy consumption.
Q-Cycle itself is a game-changer. Made from 100 per cent recycled polyamide using end-of-life tires, it cuts carbon dioxide emissions by up to 50 per cent compared to virgin materials. When combined with CHT's Shortcut process, Q-Cycle retains the performance, quality, and comfort of traditional fabrics, but with a dramatically reduced environmental footprint.
This collaboration demonstrates a commitment to sustainable practices without sacrificing functionality or aesthetics. It's a win-win for the environment and the textile industry.
