Tencel x Intimasia revolutionizes India's intimate wear industry.

The 6th edition of Tencel x Intimasia marked a milestone for India's intimate wear market, showcasing the power of collaboration between leading brands and sustainable fibers. Held from January 22nd to 24th, the event attracted over 20,000 retailers, distributors, and industry experts, solidifying its position as South Asia's premier B2B fashion expo for intimate wear.

The demand for Tencel lyocell, modal, and Lenzing Ecovero viscose fibers increased, reflecting a growing desire for eco-friendly options. These fibers, made with at least 50 per cent less carbon emissions and water, resonated with brands and consumers alike. The event hosted the first-ever Lingerie Fashion Week, featuring a diverse range of lingerie, loungewear, and sportswear. Renowned brands like Bummer, XYXX, and Red Rose showcased innovative collections infused with Tencel fibers, highlighting their comfort, breathability, and soft touch.

Avinash Mane, Senior Commercial Director at Lenzing, emphasizes, "We prioritize softness, skin-friendliness, and sustainability in our fibers. Our partnership with Intimasia allows us to showcase these qualities and understand the evolving needs of Indian consumers."

Alongside Intimasia, Source NXT provided a platform for manufacturers, suppliers, and buyers to connect and source materials crucial for hosiery and knitwear production. Lenzing used this opportunity to further highlight the unique properties of their fibers and foster global dialogue about the future of the industry. Overall, Tencel x Intimasia 2024 marks a significant step towards a more sustainable and innovative future for India's intimate wear industry.
