Three textile parks come up in Andhra Pradesh with Rs 3.10 bn investment

The Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry is setting up three textile parks in Andhra Pradesh under the Scheme for Integrated Textile Park (SITP) to attract investments, generate jobs, and boost exports. These parks, located in Anantapuramu, Nellore, and Guntur, have come up with a total investment of over Rs 3.10 billion. A textile park in Visakhapatnam has already been completed with an investment of Rs 1.34 billion.
The Ministry of Textiles is overseeing Hindupur Vyapar Apparel Park in Anantapuramu with Rs 1.02 billion, Tarakeswara Textile Park in Nellore with Rs 1.03 billion, and Guntur Textile Park in Guntur with Rs 1.05 billion. Brandix India Apparel Park in Visakhapatnam was developed under the same scheme.
Additionally, under the Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP), the MSME Ministry has allocated Rs 490.66 million for infrastructure projects in Andhra Pradesh for 2024-25.
The central government has also approved three projects under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP) at Krishnapatnam, Kopparthy, and Orvakal. Over the past five years, Rs 5.31 billion has been disbursed through NICDIT to support industrial expansion, reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s position as a textile and industrial hub.
