Trident Group chairman Rajinder Gupta has announced plans to invest an additional Rs 3,000 crore in Madhya Pradesh’s textile industry during the Invest Madhya Pradesh, Regional Industry Conclave at Narmadapuram. The new investment builds on the company’s existing Rs 5,000 crore in the state, which has already facilitated exports to 122 countries. This will create over 3,000 new jobs, raising employment opportunities in the region from 12,000 to more than 15,000, with 50 per cent of these positions reserved for women.

Gupta praised Madhya Pradesh as a hub for sustainability, inclusive growth, and renewable energy, emphasizing the state's potential for solar and wind energy development. He highlighted the company’s commitment to local sourcing, including cotton, and producing finished goods within the state, ensuring the benefits of Trident's operations remain in Madhya Pradesh.

Trident’s focus on skill development and community empowerment aligns with the state’s vision of fostering innovation and attracting global investors. Gupta also commended the state government’s leadership in energizing the sector and driving forward progress in green energy and sustainable growth.
