Trident Q4 profit plunges 56%

Trident, a major Indian textile company, saw a mixed performance in Q4 2024. While revenue grew 7 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,682 crore, net profit dropped a significant 56 per cent to Rs 57 crore compared to the same period last year. Despite the profit decline, the company's full-year performance remained positive. Net profit for the entire financial year 2024 increased 21 per cent to Rs 349 crore, with revenue reaching Rs 6,809 crore.

The company's core businesses yarn and towels, contributed Rs 902 crore and Rs 575 crore to Q4 revenue, respectively. Bed sheets brought in Rs 303 crore. Trident, headquartered in Punjab, is a leading player in India's home textile market, boasting around 400 sales points across the country.
