Turkmenistan’s cotton planting season takes off

Turkmenistan is gearing up for its crucial cotton planting season that starts now. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced the launch date, inviting elders to initiate the campaign and wishing success to all agricultural workers.

At a recent cabinet of ministers meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tangriguli Atahalliyev reported on the ongoing agricultural activities. He highlighted that fertilization and irrigation efforts are in progress across wheat fields, while spring sowing of other crops, including potatoes and vegetables, continues under close supervision.

Preparations for the cotton planting season are in full swing, with inspections and repairs of agricultural machinery underway. Authorities are also ensuring the availability of high-quality seeds to support a successful harvest. To enhance efficiency, regional workshops will be held, bringing together experienced farmers, specialists, scientists, and mechanics to share expertise and best practices.
