Uster Technologies automates fabric inspection.
Uster Technologies offers an automated fabric inspection system that improves yield and quality control. It combines Uster EVS Fabriq Vision, an inspection system, with Uster Fabriq Assistant, which analyzes data to deliver the best results.
Here's how it works: first, Uster experts will analyze your current process to identify areas for improvement. Then, they will recommend the right hardware and software for your needs. The Uster Fabriq Vision system can be integrated into existing production lines or used as an off-line inspection system.
The inspection system uses state-of-the-art cameras and sophisticated illumination to detect defects. It provides real-time alerts for operatives and creates roll inspection charts. All data is then transferred to Uster Fabriq Assistant for analysis.
Uster Fabriq Assistant helps to improve quality and process efficiency. It can also be connected to your ERP system and Optimized Cut Control (OCC) software for maximized yield. OCC uses the defect map from inspection to identify the correct cutting position for maximum fabric yield.
Another benefit is Uster EVS Fabriq Shade, which supports consistent shade in fabrics. This system provides standard shade measurements and continuously qualifies shade variation. It can also group fabrics according to shade for best yield. Finally, automated fabric inspection requires a new logistics plan with a clear data flow for paperless production. Uster Technologies will be hosting a webinar on April 11 to discuss the transition from manual to automated fabric inspection. They will also be at Techtextil Frankfurt from April 23 to 26.
