Yarn Expo Spring 2025 to highlight sustainable cotton innovations

Yarn Expo Spring 2025, set for March 11-13, 2024 in Shanghai, will highlight the rising demand for sustainable cotton, with over 500 exhibitors from 12 countries, including nearly 90 in the cotton sector. As organic and recycled cotton gain traction in the fashion industry, the global organic cotton market is projected to grow at a 44.4 per cent CAGR until 2030.
India, the world's second-largest cotton yarn producer with a 31.2 per cent market share, will showcase its strengths at the India Pavilion, organized by TEXPROCIL. Exhibitors such as Amar International, GDJD International, and Le Merite Fashions will present premium cotton yarns, blends, and eco-certified products.
China, India, and Pakistan will lead cotton sourcing at the expo, alongside newcomers like Turkiye’s Kenan Ozsoy Textile and Indonesia’s PT Embee Plumbon Tekstil. Their participation aligns with China’s peak textile sourcing season.
Murali Balkrishna of TEXPROCIL emphasized Yarn Expo’s role in connecting Indian suppliers with global buyers, particularly for twisted cotton yarn. Co-located with Intertextile Shanghai and CHIC, the event will provide extensive networking and sourcing opportunities across the textile industry.
