The upcoming Fibers & Yarns Exhibition scheduled for April 16-18, 2026, at the Jio World Convention Centre is focusing on becoming the epicenter for high-performance material sourcing. The 19th edition arrives at a critical juncture where the domestic industry is shifting from conventional manufacturing to specialized, high-tenacity inputs. With the Union Budget 2026-27 introducing the National Fiber Scheme to boost self-reliance, exhibitors are expected to move beyond basic cotton toward ‘new-age’ fibers, including recycled polyester (rPET) and bio-based cellulose, to meet stringent EU sustainability mandates.
