Uttar Pradesh is set to establish 10 new textile parks across Kanpur, Barabanki, Hapur, Mau, Bhadohi, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Meerut, and Hardoi. Developed by private companies, these parks aim to reduce dependence on imported raw materials. To support the initiative, the state government has allocated Rs 1 crore under the Chief Minister Textile Apparel Park Scheme. According to Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary of the MSME Department, each park will cater to the specific needs of local textile industries, such as hosiery in Kanpur, carpets in Bhadohi, fabric in Mau, and poly fibre in Barabanki.
